Sofi Charity foundation

To be a successful company but not help others? This concept is difficult for us to comprehend. We believe that when you grow, it becomes your responsibility to help others. Our way of helping others is by taking care of animals and our community with Sofi Charity foundation.

Sun Finance is all about animals, therefore, we are the biggest enthusiasts of Sofi charity foundation’s projects. The foundation’s mission is to help animals in Latvia and abroad in the long run.

Sofi helps to improve animal well-being in shelters by building and repairing animal houses and other vital facilities, promotes animal adoption, educates society, provides shelters with food and hygiene products and more.

Now, among Sofi’s priorities is support for Ukrainian animals. Sofi has already helped hundreds of refugee dogs&cats, evacuated animals from war zones, sent the largest ever humanitarian aid from Latvia to animals in Ukraine and continues to support Ukrainian animals.

Another major part of Sofi Charity foundation's projects is focus on educating people on animal well-being, providing support for schools and local communities and other projects that help improve our society in the future.

Green office

We are a participant of the WWF Green Office program with the aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and the ecological footprint of the workplace.

Loyality and support

Company’s most loyal employees are encouraged to support their local communities with projects of their own initiative by giving an additional day off and providing financial support towards the project of their choosing.

Carbon neutral

The Group has received the highest level of Carbon Footprint Standard and became a Carbon Neutral Company in Q2’2021.

Green office

We are a participant of the WWF Green Office program with the aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and the ecological footprint of the workplace.

In 2021 Sun Finance became a member of the Green Office program by the World Wide Fund For Nature.

Sun Finance was the first representative of the Latvian financial sector to take part in this program.

To become a member of the Green Office community, Sun Finance had to measure its sustainability and commit to strengthening its “green” ambitions year on year.

Thus far, we have succeeded sticking to our green commitments, in fact, we enjoy it quite well.

Loyality and support

We truly value people, who have chosen to grow together with us and have been loyal to Sun Finance for at least 3 years.

If a person has been with Sun Finance for 3 years = we cover a little "self treat" + extra paid day off

If a person has been with Sun Finance for 4 years = we cover a family fun day + 2 extra paid days off

If a person has been with Sun Finance for 5 years = we provide financial support for a charity project of their choosing + 3 extra paid days off

Carbon neutral

The Group has received the highest level of Carbon Footprint Standard and became a Carbon Neutral Company in Q2’2021.

The first one from Sun Finance Group to receive a carbon neutral organisation's status was Sun Finance main office in Riga.

Then one after another all Sun Finance offices in all our markets followed the green path and became Carbon neutral organisations.

By becoming a Carbon neutral+ organisation, we have reduced our carbon emissions below 0.

Not only we have significantly decreased our carbon emissions, but we are also helping to develop vital and green projects in countries like Philippines, India, Vietnam, Thailand and Guatemala.
