JOB MISSION

The Portfolio Financial Risk Analyst will be responsible for the ownership and oversight of financial risk-related aspects of the company’s loan portfolios, lead risk mitigation initiatives within the company which includes managing processes, risk identification, prevention, reporting, also will provide proactive analyses and forecast potential risks which lead to insights directly improving the portfolio and the company’s overall financial performance. 

OUTCOMES

• Ensure timely and accurate provisions related calculations
• Maintain the provisioning methodology based on IFRS9 and the latest accounting standards in collaboration with the Finance Department
• Collaborate with Credit Risk managers to understand business processes and product changes, analyze their impact on the amount of provisions, and develop recommendations for process improvements to achieve positive provisions trends
• Interpret data, analyze results using statistical methods, develop new provision calculation models and fulfil data requests in various areas (risks, sales, finance, etc.)
• Present portfolio tendencies and provision level to country managers and top management
• Participate in budgeting process and forecast provision level for future periods

REQUIREMENTS

• University degree in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or related field
• Experience from an online data-driven lending company in financial risk data analysis will be considered a plus
• Strong analytical skills, knowledge of SQL, Alteryx or R/Python will be considered a plus
• Excellent MS Excel knowledge
• Excellent communication skills in Latvian and English, with the ability to collaborate
