JOB MISSION

The Portfolio Data Analyst will be responsible for the ownership and oversight of financial risk-related aspects of the company’s loan portfolios, lead risk mitigation initiatives within the company which includes managing processes, risk identification, prevention, reporting, also will provide proactive analyses and forecast potential risks which lead to insights directly improving the portfolio and the company’s overall financial performance. 

OUTCOMES

• Interpret data, analyze results using statistical methods, develop new reports and fulfil data requests in various areas (risks, sales, finance, etc.)
• Collaborate with Credit Risk managers to understand business processes and product changes, analyze their impact on the changes in credit portfolios, and develop recommendations for process improvements to achieve positive trends in credit portfolios
• Collaborate with Debt Collection managers to understand operational processes and analyze their impact on the changes in credit portfolios. Analyze Debt Collection portfolios and develop recommendations for flow improvements to maximize cash flows

REQUIREMENTS

• University degree in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or related field
• Experience from an online data-driven lending company in financial risk data analysis will be considered a plus
• Strong analytical skills, knowledge of SQL, Alteryx or R/Python will be considered a plus
• Excellent MS Excel knowledge
• Excellent Latvian and English skills required, as work involves communication with colleagues from different countries
