JOB MISSION

The Portfolio Credit Risk Manager will be responsible for the ownership and oversight of credit risk-related aspects of the company’s portfolio, will provide proactive analyses that lead to insights that directly improve the portfolio and company’s financial performance.

Outcomes

• You will be an active participant in all phases of the product lifecycle and will be working closely with a variety of internal and external business partners to define credit risk underwriting strategies, align sales strategies, and through advanced analysis bring positive impact to the P&L statement
• Areas of direct control and responsibility – credit risk underwriting, loan portfolio monitoring, and analysis
• Proactively identify trends in data and draw meaningful insights about the risk performance of the portfolio
• Directly participate in feasibility studies for new markets and new products to facilitate the company growth
• Identify new sources of data that enhance existing capabilities

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in credit risk management within a financial institution, ideally in an international environment
• A university degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline
• Proven experience in a data-driven online lending company, with a strong focus on use of scoring models and advanced data analysis techniques
• Proficiency in utilizing data analysis tools such as Tableau / MS Excel and ability to write queries for data extraction from databases as SQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle for effective decision-making and reporting
• Familiarity with data programming languages such as R, Python, or similar is a strong advantage
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong command of Latvian and English language, both written and spoken
